Team review

Choose the right newsletter role

Separate writing, sending and independent review without giving everyone administration.

Free roles; independent approval needs Pro4 min read0.1.0-beta.11 · Early-access beta
01

Assign an existing WordPress user

An administrator manages users through WordPress. Assign the least access needed for the person’s work. The plugin adds newsletter roles; it does not invite clients, create accounts or grant unrelated site administration. Check access with the actual assigned user after changing a role.

02

Match the role to the task

Newsletter writer can enter the workspace and edit drafts, but cannot schedule mail, manage contacts or change provider settings.

Newsletter sender can edit, schedule, manage the audience and inspect reports. Newsletter reviewer can inspect campaigns, aggregate reports and independent Pro review without editing, sending or personal audience access. Administrators manage settings, provider configuration and required-review policy.

03

Keep review independent

For required Pro approval, the reviewer must be a different authorized person from the last editor and requester. A role alone does not make self-approval valid. Requesting review does not send an email; coordinate through your usual team process.

Reviewers can run audience review without seeing personal contact examples. Approval does not schedule the campaign; the sender performs that separate step.

04

Recheck access as your team changes

Remove unneeded access when responsibilities change and keep separate individual accounts. Required-review permissions are checked again before sending; changing a reviewer’s authorization can hold previously approved work. Custom role modifications can change the capabilities available, so verify the resulting access instead of relying only on the role label.
