Inspect the current identity
An administrator opens Settings → Delivery and site safety. The plugin identifies the WordPress home URL, site URL and environment. Missing confirmation, changed identity or a nonproduction environment holds public confirmations and marketing at the final send boundary.
This is separate from Allow email sending, test mode, provider limits and campaign approval. Every relevant control must permit the send.
Confirm only the intended production site
Check the displayed URLs and environment before acknowledging production. Perform this deliberately after installation, the beta11 upgrade or a site move. Do not use the acknowledgement to turn a staging copy into an accidental live sender.
An exact clone retaining the same URLs and production environment cannot be distinguished. Mark staging/development explicitly and keep its transport disabled. An address change during preparation is checked again before delivery.
Use tests without assuming live permission
Explicit owned-address tests use fictional subscriber data and remain separate from ordinary marketing. Previewing or testing does not authorize a campaign or prove that real confirmation messages can leave. Verify the real provider and received-email path in an intended, deliberately authorized environment before launch.
Read the evidence honestly
The settings panel checks address format, business address, HTTPS and feedback-key readiness. It labels DNS authentication as unverified and provider allowance as owner-declared. Overview worker observations show what happened locally, not guaranteed future scheduling or inbox placement.
Before live campaigns, qualify the intended host’s scheduler, real transport capacity, sending-domain authentication and representative received clients. Do not infer these from the beta’s local-sink or Chromium tests.
